    Disneyland Hong Kong

Yep, I actually took leave to do something that involves activities and money!

Last month I went to HK for some R&R. The trip was actually for my lil' sister who had just finished her medical school. We thought it'll be a fun trip for the family, and I could buy the dvds that I want, since it's dirt cheap over there. Original dvds, mind. I think 50% of my money went to dvds... and so far I've only had the time to watch 1... le sigh. I need a holiday to recover from my holiday.

Unfortunately, the lil' sister that we're doing this trip for was called for her Induction, so she can't go! Ironic. And everything is booked, etc. So we decided with a heavy heart that we're going ahead with the trip without her. Very heavy heart. ;D

Initially I did not want to go to Disneyland because a) Huge chunk of my spending money would have to go there since, well, admission is not cheap izzit; and b) I'm old therefore the Disney magic would be lost on jaded, coal-hearted me. However, my mum managed to convince us that there won't be another chance of us ever going to Disneyland again, so we might as well go while we're in HK. Being far-sighted and all, I agreed.

Lo and behold, I did have fun in Disneyland! We watched all the shows, didn't go to all the rides, ate some very delicious sushi, got entrapped with the fake gaiety and wholesomeness of the place, and we still didn't get to see the whole place despite the fact that we were there the whole day and it being the smallest Disneyland in the world. So I was told. IF I ever get a chance to go to another Disneyland again, I'll make sure I'll take more than a day to go running around. IF.

Current song obsession at the moment: Chris Brown's Forever. I know it's all trippy, disco and very Akon-ish, whose music btw makes me feel suicidal every time it comes on radio, but this song just transcend above those misgivings and flawlessly executed by the smooth dancing of young Brown.

This is the only video of the song that I could find in soapbox, and it's a live (sorta) version of the song. The song only starts at 2:00 into the video, so you might want to press forward at the beginning of the clip:

June 6: Chris Brown performs “Forever” for fans.

Chris Brown is really trying to be like young Michael Jackson here, with his dance moves and that white jacket, which is not a bad thing. And honestly, before this song came out I've never heard any of his other songs except for his cover of Umbrella (slash Cinderella). When I googled his name I realized that he's been around the music scene for awhile and he has a large number of fans, most of which are screaming teenage girls. Science, I'm OLD.

Speaking of old, the new NKOTB video for their new single? Aaaawwwkwaaarrd. Even I'm embarassed for them. And obviously it's been awhile since they've danced because they look stiff and uncomfortable. Now my nostalgic memories of NKOTB is forever ruined. RUINED.

What kind of social networker are you?

What kind of social networker are you? - Tech and Gadget Features | Articles – MSN Tech and Gadgets UK

Interesting read. I am definitely a Follower.

Followers come from all walks of life, male and female, young and old. These are people who caught onto the social networking craze late, and mostly just to catch up with what their already-online friends were doing. Followers tend to have brief, intense flings with social networking before losing their initial interest. It seems these are the people who do the bare minimum to keep their profiles up to date.

HAH! It's like they actually know me. At one time, I had, like, five IDs for various social networking sites. And like the sitcom Friends, they all die a slow and painful death. Facebook is the latest social networking sites that I joined, and it, too, is slowly dying from my neglect and abuse. Well, I'm not the one abusing it, other people are. I have so many apps invitation that I hardly know what to do with 'em (other than click Ignore button). The best part about this social networking sites is finding out what your childhood friends look like as a grown-up. No wait, I take that back. The best part about the sites is finding out if your childhood friends grew up ugly or hot! What, what?!

So one of my best guy-friend during primary school was all stick and bones, with a bowl haircut, white socks up to his knee, with shorts that was too big for his small frame. And then when I saw his pictures in Friendster, and woah... he looked like Brad Pitt circa Legends of the Fall. Observe Brad Pitt:

Except my friend is Indian, so you have to imagine Brad Pitt with Indian features.

Then I found my old nemesis through Friendster as well. When I say 'nemesis', I meant 'bully'. He used to bully me because... well because I was short and I cried easily. Fortunately (for me), he turned out ugly! How gratifying (for me). Actually, I'm surprised that the bully actually know how to operate a computer, because I remember him being quite thick in the head. WELL. I might be petty, but I was traumatized, ok, TRAUMATIZED, because of him.

Ok, not that traumatized. I just want an excuse to be petty, heheh.

Wait, what is this post about again?
