The trip to Bandung was… so fun! Honestly speaking, I didn’t think it would be because arwah Sha was supposed to go along, until her untimely demise. Sometimes I still can’t believe that she’s gone. Moga rohmu dicucuri rahmat-Nya, amin.

Nurin (if you have a blog I would’ve link you!) and Fozi organized the whole trip, and they did a fantastic job! And bonus, we get to spend a lot of time with cute lil’ Hani. You guys shouldn’t have worried so much about us carrying her around… we love her! Even when she’s tantrum-ing it’s adorable. :) Oh, “us” being Kak Ida, Kak Yan and Auntie. And me. That’s right, six and a half (Hani is almost 2yo) of us went to Bandung together.

Our trip was from 21st -  24th Jan. Luckily we went on weekdays, because on the 24th (Saturday) there were soooooooooooo many tourists around… shopping with this crowd would’ve been horrible! Thank science Nurin had the foresight to organize the trip on weekdays. Big tip for fellow travellers out there.

Anyway, I spent so much money in Bandung, now I feel guilty because I could’ve saved the money for… oh, just in case I don’t have a job anymore. With all the layoffs rumours around, I can’t help but feel insecure. I mean, one is never safe until one is permanent, innit?

<awkward silence>

MOVING ON. Even though I could’ve used the money more responsibly, I’m still super giddy with all the stuff that I bought in Bandung. Super. Cheap. The branded clothes are not knockoffs, they are of genuine brand, but rejected for export for some reason. Honestly, I can’t tell the difference, so I don’t really mind. Also, the kain-kain for baju kurung is also super cheap. Like, dirt cheap. DIRT. I feel betrayed that I paid so much (compared to Bandung price) at Jalan TAR.

And the food. THE FOOD. I love the food! And cheap. And it’s not like we ate at a dodgy gerai at the side of the road, but at a proper restaurant… like, KLCC standards. Cheap, tasty and clean.

No photos can be shared, because I didn’t bring my camera, but Fozi did… so wait for him to upload lah hehe. If he does.

Am saving up money to go there again next year. Hehehehehehe….

That Astro… such a wily bastard. I don’t remember exactly when, but remember when they gave ‘free’ channels to show their appreciation to the viewers, which included Ch733 – Home & Health, which incidentally had the best reality program, like, ever in the whole wide world and universe forever and ever, Jon & Kate Plus 8?

After teasing me with the best show ever for free, they decided to charge the users for that channel. Like, the show was supposed to go on a Wednesday, and the day before they decided that they’d take the free channels away and gave me a heart attack because suddenly the dreaded ‘This channel is not included in your subscription’ black-blue screen came on when I switched to @733? WELL. I subscribed to that package immediately after that, because I didn’t want to miss the next episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8. So Astro wins… dammit.

You know what they’re doing right now? They have two free channels, Ch808 and 809, to ‘celebrate’ the new year. Ch809, btw, is AXN Beyond, and they’re showing, like, Roswell, Buffy, Supernatural, The X-Files, and oh, did I mention BUFFY? BUFFY!!!!

Astro, you are messing with people’s feelings! FEELINGS. I mean, the channel practically gives me my paranormal fix right now, and now that I’m addicted to it, it’s just a matter of time until they pull out the channel and make me pay for it if I ever want to see the genius of Joss Whedon’s Buffy again. And all the other cool shows. And what if they add Firefly in the future?? CRUEL. Just… cruel.

Yes, I know I’m a giant nerd.

The little tyke is so cute! He’s a big boy now, weighing at approximately 6.5kg… and he’s only 3 months old! Carrying him is like lifting weights… your arms-of-a-farmer gets a good workout, except in a more pleasing manner. You know how at 2 months, babies will start cooing nonsensically? Mikail is a dedicated coo-er! I talk to him in that embarrassing baby talk that adults always do around babies, and he just coos and coos and looks adorable doing so. He has a healthy set of lung too. I’ve only babysat him for a couple of hours for, like, 3 times, and I can attest to that lung of his... when he doesn’t get enough food or someone interrupts his sleep, he would WAIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Oh, Mikail. Aunty loves you! 

Oh yeah, and Mikail had his aqiqah about 2 months ago, but his hair is only just starting to grow back. Weird, but lovable.

Oh, and Happy New Year! Here's hoping that 2009 will be better than 2008. No offense, '08.
